About Prof. Dr. Wim Maas

Wim is a trial attorney with more than two decades of experience representing clients in court.

Wim’s practice is centered on high-stakes, international patent and trade secret litigation, particularly in the life sciences and SEP/FRAND space. Wim represents international pharmaceutical and biotech companies before the Unified Patent Court (UPC) and regularly coordinates international patent assertion campaigns and defense strategies in Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Wim holds a professorship in International Patent Litigation at the Católica Global School of Law in Lisbon and has authored several books and articles on patent enforcement and the UPC.
