In less than four years, Kirkland’s UK-based European IP Litigation group has established itself as a major force in UK and European IP litigation, where it is regularly involved in some of the most important mandates in the market across a wide range of industries and technical areas, dealing with cutting edge legal issues including before the UK Supreme Court. This is demonstrated by the fact that the team represented clients in eight major trials in the English Courts in 2021. The pipeline in terms of trial work remains extremely strong – with eight major trials scheduled or already heard in 2022, and a further five trials already scheduled (and at least a further four expected to be scheduled) in 2023.
The team is highly racially, ethnically, and gender diverse, and prides itself on being not only a role model for Kirkland’s commitment to first-rate client service but to diversity and inclusion as well. This diversity of backgrounds, cultures and thought, allied with the team’s wide range of technical qualifications and depth of experience drives the team’s signature creativity and fearless approach to representing the interests of its clients.
