Nominees in IP for JUVE Awards Germany 2024 announced
JUVE has announced the nominees for this year's JUVE IP Law Firm of the Year and IP In-house Team of the Year categories in the annual JUVE Awards Germany. A host will proclaim the winners on 24 October in a ceremony at the Frankfurt Opera House.

Today JUVE announced the shortlist for this year’s JUVE Awards Germany, including the renowned JUVE IP Law Firm of the Year, and the IP In-house Team of the Year. The JUVE Awards cover Germany only and there are five nominees in each category.
The nominees for JUVE IP Law Firm of the Year are:
- A&O Shearman
- Bird & Bird
- Cohausz & Florack
- Harmsen Utescher
- Teworte-Vey Simon Schumacher & Partner
The nominees for IP In-house Team of the Year are:
- MTU Aero Engines
- Thyssenkrupp
- Sanofi-Aventis
- Vodafone
- Volkswagen
Best of the best
Each year, JUVE presents an award for JUVE IP Firm of the Year to one particular German law firm in recognition of its eminent work over the past year. Firms receive nominations for their strong performance and strategic development in soft IP, patent law or both. The dynamism in the IP practice and successful handling of big-ticket cases are also taken into account.
Similarly, the award for IP In-house Team of the Year recognises a German in-house team for its exceptional work and dynamic growth. Teams in both soft IP and patent law come under the judges’ consideration.
In 2023, the JUVE IP Law Firm of the Year went to Taylor Wessing. The judges acknowledged the firm’s multijurisdictional cooperation for clients such as Oppo, Pfizer and Abbott, as well as the young team’s work on important topics for the future and its unparalleled presence in life sciences.
The award for In-house IP Team of the Year 2023 went to Siemens for setting itself the highest of standards with regard to the quality of its own intellectual property rights. The company reorganised its own patent department and plays a leading role in the public debate on improving the quality of European patents.
