JUVE Patent

One Essex Court – UK 2022

JUVE Comment

The well-positioned chambers of One Essex Court have a clear FRAND speciality, with visibility in some of the leading jurisdictional-led patent cases of the past few years. A highlight for the chambers is their involvement in the Supreme Court litigation between Huawei and ZTE against Conversant, which concluded in 2020. However, the One Essex Court barristers are perhaps best regarded for their approach to soft IP matters. It still has limited visibility in other patent cases, such as life sciences or pharmaceutical litigation, although two barristers were involved in the wide-ranging case for Warner Lambert and Pfizer against multiple parties over damages incurred in the 2018 Supreme Court trial over pregabalin.
