JUVE Patent

Olbricht Buchhold Keulertz – Germany 2025

JUVE Comment

This medium-sized German patent attorney firm has established itself as a top choice for mid-market clients. The practice boasts an excellent reputation for prosecution and litigation in mechanical engineering and electronics. Clients regularly turn to its patent attorneys for EPO oppositions, nullity actions and technical aspects of infringement suits. The firm has developed particular expertise in imaging and graphics technologies. Its team continues to expand in line with the evolving technical needs of its regular clients. Recently, German clients have entrusted the firm with additional prosecution work, whilst US clients have engaged its services for the first time.

The integration of a team and establishment of an office in Münster have further bolstered the firm’s dynamic growth among medium-sized companies.

However, the firm has recently seen the departure of two partners. Sabine Kossak moved to competitor Bardehle Pagenberg. A newly recruited patent attorney now maintains the firm’s relatively small chemistry and life sciences practice.

European set-up

The firm has not yet publicly represented clients at the UPC. However, its litigation-experienced patent attorneys, such as Robin Keulertz, are well-positioned to serve as a first port of call for their medium-sized regular clients at the UPC, whether defending against attacks or swiftly pursuing competitors across Europe. To handle such lawsuits, the practice maintains well-established ties with various experienced external litigation firms, including Wildanger and Krieger Mes.
