Each year, JUVE bestows the title of JUVE IP Firm of the Year on one particular law firm for its work and achievements over the past year. Each nominee is selected for performing strongly and demonstrating strategic development in soft IP, patent law or both. Further important factors include dynamism in the IP practice and successful handling of eminent cases.
Since 2018 JUVE has also presented an award to the IP In-house Team of the Year. A winner is selected from five nominees, each having showcased outstanding work and dynamic growth. Teams in both soft IP and the patent field are contenders for this award.
In 2020 the winners of JUVE IP Law Firm of the Year and In-house IP Team of the Year were Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Sullivan and automotive supplier Knorr Bremse respectively. The judges recognised the latter for an exceptional revamp of its IP department. Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Sullivan was recognised for its litigation for Daimler in connected cars disputes against Nokia and others.
The awards will take place on 28 October 2021. To find out more about the judging process go to juve-tv.de. To follow the event live on social media and keep up-to-date with any developments, follow the hashtags #JUVEAwards and #JUVEAwards2021
