JUVE Patent

Hogarth Chambers – UK 2025

JUVE Comment

Despite its reputation as a predominantly chancery barrister set, Hogarth Chambers has several IP barristers whose patent speciality shines through in several cases at multiple instances of the UK’s patent courts. This year, the barristers were once again less active in SEP and FRAND cases, with competitors such as Blackstone involved in cases heavily featuring competition law. The departure of junior barrister Edward Cronan to 11 South Square in late 2023 left a considerable gap. But in KC Richard Davis Hogarth Chambers has a designated life sciences expert, not to mention the up-and-coming Ben Longstaff, who recently represented Lenovo. He also works on medical devices cases.
