Ulrike Voß will be responsible for the second panel of the local division in Munich as presiding judge. She is joined there by Daniel Voß. The two are not related, but both are from Düsseldorf and have recently been selected to strengthen the local division Munich. This division has the most cases of all UPC divisions with 126. At the same time, Ulrike Voß is also the presiding judge of the Munich central division. This makes her the only UPC judge to hold two leadership functions.
As before, Matthias Zigann as presiding judge and Tobias Pichlmaier will lead the first panel in Munich.

The appointment of Ulrike Voß as presiding judge for the second panel now raises the question of whether she will continue her work as presiding judge of the 15th Civil Senate at the Higher Regional Court Düsseldorf.
Dirk Böttcher was also recently appointed as an additional judge in Mannheim. He is also presiding judge of the cartel chamber at the Regional Court Mannheim.
In Mannheim, the local division will in future meet in two compositions under presiding judge Peter Tochtermann. In composition one, Peter Tochtermann will sit together with Holger Kircher and in composition two together with Dirk Böttcher.
The Mannheim local divison currently has 42 cases. The largest campaign includes six law suits brought by brought by Panasonic against Oppo and Xiaomi concerning SEPs.
Weeks ago, the UPC announced the appointment of three additional judges for the central division in Milan. The Italian division will start its work on 26 June 2024. Today, the UPC announced that Andrea Postiglione, Anna-Lena Klein and Marije Knijff will be the three judges. The Administrative Committee already decided on May 6.
Andrea Postiglione is Italian and a judge at the Enterprise Specialized Section of the Court in Rome. Anna-Lena Klein is currently a judge in the 21 Civil Chamber of the Regional Court of Munich and has been involved in numerous decisions there, including the injunction for Datang against Samsung over 4G SEPs.
Dutch member of the division Marije Knijff is currently judge at the District Court of The Hague in the Netherlands and was recently involved in the dispute between Edwards Lifesciences and Meril Life Sciences over heard valves.
