Loyer & Abello – France 2020
Rankings
JUVE Comment
This French boutique has a large number of dual-qualified lawyers in its team and, besides patent litigation, also operates a small prosecution practice. The firm is active in some major telecoms and pharma cases. The team is much larger than those of up-and-coming outfits like Schertenleib and this year added two young lawyers to its partnership. The strategy of positioning itself as a mixed firm is promising, if Loyer & Abello steps up its involvement in major cases.
Strengths
Mixed team with broad technical expertise.
European strategy
The independent boutique has experience coordinating international patent cases. However, it shares its connections to similarly positioned firms in other countries with competitors, which means it cannot rely on exclusive relationships.
