About Dr. Cornelia Oetke

Dr. Cornelia Oetke is a German and European Patent Attorney. As a partner at Wallinger Ricker Schlotter Tostmann, she advises start-ups and international companies in the field of pharma and life sciences on all questions of intellectual property rights. Cornelia Oetke has particular expertise in protein therapeutics including upstream and downstream processes, gene therapy, vaccine technology and virology.

Her practice includes prosecuting European patent applications and defending or opposing patents in opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office as well as in national invalidity proceedings. She is regularly involved in multi-opponent oppositions and is admitted as representative at the UPC. A special focus of her work is also drafting patent applications and actively advising and assisting in building up and coordinating patent portfolios worldwide. Cornelia Oetke is further experienced in filing and advising clients on supplementary protection certificates and frequently provides patent infringement-, FTO-, and validity opinions.
