Grünecker – UPC 2026
Rankings
JUVE Comment
After a strong start at the UPC, this mixed IP law firm continues to impress with a growing number of substantial new cases. Long-standing clients such as Broadcom and Avago are entrusting the team with extensive further proceedings, while new clients are drawn to the firm’s proven UPC expertise. Grünecker is also attracting numerous international clients, including US-based shoe manufacturer Fast IP and Chinese 3D printing company Shenzhen Tuozhu Technology.
The firm’s patent attorneys collaborate with external lawyers on select cases, such as for core client Roche Diabetes. However, Grünecker also excels as a mixed team, regularly assembling large in-house groups of lawyers and patent attorneys to manage multiple cases within tight deadlines. The firm is particularly well-resourced on the patent attorney side. While the team of lawyers is experienced, there is still room for growth. For specific questions on international law, the firm maintains strong relationships with overseas practices but retains its independence – a strategy that has proven effective from the clients’ perspective.
