Hogan Lovells – France 2026
Rankings
JUVE Comment
For several years, Hogan Lovells’ French practice has established itself by representing international clients in the French leg of pan-European disputes. Through this work, currently including for Hoffmann-La Roche against Accord Healthcare concerning a cancer drug, the team led by lead partner Stanislas Roux-Vaillard and the up-and-coming Adrien Bonnet is closing in on the market leaders. The firm recently demonstrated its appeal to French companies by securing instructions from Orange in extensive litigation, placing the team in one of the few ongoing telecommunications disputes in France.
The establishment of the UPC has enabled the Hogan Lovells team in Paris to expand. Although the German practice’s success in the UPC’s early phase has somewhat overshadowed the firm’s other national patent litigation groups, Hogan Lovells’ emergence as a UPC market leader is also advancing the French patent practice and strengthening its position in competing for UPC work in France. The French practice currently represents Mul-T-Lock France, the French subsidiary of ASSA Abloy, against IMC Créations. It is also engaged in UPC matters for the firm’s national clients, including representation at the Paris central division. This stems naturally from the team’s long-standing collaborative approach with the firm’s practices in other countries.
