About Siddharth Kusumakar
Siddharth Kusumakar is a UK Solicitor Advocate, Irish Solicitor and UPC Representative. He has been a partner at Powell Gilbert since 2019. He is widely recognised for his considerable experience in managing technically complex multi-jurisdictional patent disputes, particularly in the life sciences sector.
Siddharth has successfully acted in some of the most high-profile patent cases to come before the UK and UPC in recent years, including two landmark UK Supreme Court cases. As a UPC representative, he has argued in hearings before the Munich Local Division, Nordic Baltic Regional Division, Helsinki Local Division, Paris Central Division and Court of Appeal. Siddharth has also been involved in the key cases shaping the current UK and UPC landscape on the proportionality of injunctions where the public interest is engaged.
Prior to his legal studies Siddharth obtained degrees in microbiology and immunology.
