Dr. Anja Lunze is a lawyer and specialist in intellectual property law, admitted to the Unified Patent Court (UPC), and has been specializing in patent law for over twenty years. She represents clients before German courts and the Unified Patent Court (UPC) in patent infringement and entitlement litigations. Anja Lunze leads and coordinates complex, multinational patent disputes and is well versed in all strategic aspects.
She advises clients on IP strategies and negotiates licensing, research and development collaborations and advises on the structuring of joint ownership of patents.
Anja Lunze represents life sciences and healthcare clients, i.e. from the pharmaceutical, biotech, personalized medicine, and precision medicine sectors, as well as from the chemical and medical device industries, and advises on related issues of digitalization and artificial intelligence. She is a member of the Standing Pharma Committee of the AIPPI.
Her comparative law dissertation on licensing agreements, “Legal Consequences of Patent Expiration,” was awarded the Doctoral Prize of the Technical University of Dresden.
After numerous stays abroad at CEIPI Strasbourg and in Geneva, Tokyo, and London, she has intercultural competence and language skills (including English, French, and Japanese).
