Jonathan Konietz advises in all areas of intellectual property law. He mainly represents clients in patent and utility model disputes. In addition, he advises on employee invention law and on the negotiation and drafting of license and research and development agreements.
Jonathan Konietz’s technical specialization includes in particular the fields of telecommunications, IT, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering as well as biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. He has extensive experience in defending against and enforcing standard-essential patents, taking into account FRAND criteria in a national and international context.
Jonathan Konietz was admitted to the bar in 2016. After completing his studies at the University of Düsseldorf, he worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Civil Law and Intellectual Property Law there and, in this context, completed a research stay at Durham Law School (UK) and worked as a guest lecturer at the Université Cergy-Pontoise (FR).
As an attorney-at-law, he was part of the patent litigation group of a well-known IP boutique until mid-2019. He then worked in the patent team of a major international law firm in Munich and London. Since November 2020, he has been part of AMPERSAND’s renowned patent law practice.
