Benedikt joined Mitscherlich in 2006 and became Mitscherlich’s youngest partner in 2013. Since then, Benedikt has chaired the firm’s mechanical department. Based on his academic qualifications in mechanical engineering gained at renowned RWTH Aachen University, he advises and represents clients from all technical fields of engineering, with an emphasis on automotive and propulsion technologies, lighting technologies, manufacturing technologies, processes engineering, medical and biological technologies and materials science.
Benedikt provides his clients with practical and strategic advice in all stages and matters of German, European and global patent portfolios. In addition to managing these broad patent portfolios in patent prosecution proceedings, Benedikt has remarkable experience in German and European opposition proceedings and frequently advises and represents his clients in invalidation and patent infringement matters. Benedikt’s work is rounded off by regularly providing opinion support for his clients, like legal opinions, FTOs and due diligence.
Benedikt is authorized to represent clients before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the German Federal Patent Court, the European Patent Office, the European Union Intellectual Property Office, and the Unified Patent Court.
