Basak Yigiter is European Patent Attorney at Deris.

Basak holds a master’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Lille and she is a Turkish and European patent attorney. Before joining Deris, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry as an in-house patent attorney for more than 7 years. She is specialized in freedom-to-operate analysis, patent drafting and patent prosecutions. Her practice also focuses on reporting and filing responses to office actions before the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office and the European Patent Office (EPO). She is also counseling for internationally prosecuting patent applications in collaboration with local attorneys.

Basak has in-depth experience in patent infringement and invalidity analysis. She has been involved in numerous patent lawsuits namely infringement, non-infringement, and invalidity actions.
