Müller Schupfner & Partner expands chemical practice

Munich patent law firm Müller Schupfner & Partner has strengthened its chemical practice with the hire of Christoph Heinemann (49) as a partner. Heinemann, a graduate chemist, is a German and European patent attorney. For over ten years, Heinemann was a partner at Geyer, Fehners & Partner.

Heinemann’s core clients in patent law include the automotive supplier Federal-Mogul. Heinemann is also intensively involved in trademark law, for example representing retail chain Reformhaus and tea producer, Yogi Tea.

Müller Schupfner & Partner’s chemical practice now comprises Heinemann, who is based in Munich and Hamburg, alongside one more partner. A total of 17 patent attorneys and attorneys at law belong to the wider IP boutique.

In addition to chemistry, the firm focuses on biochemistry, mechanical engineering, petroleum technology and pharmaceuticals, medical technology, electrical engineering and electronics, process and recycling technology, physics, semiconductors and information technology.

Following Heinemann’s move, Geyer, Fehners & Partner will retain three partners in Munich and two in its Jena office. The Munich patent law firm focuses on physics, mechanical engineering and medical technology.
