This Munich IP firm remains one of the very active filing practices across a wide technical spectrum. In litigation, companies mainly entrust the patent attorneys with electronics and mobile communications patents. This technical breadth is evidenced by the firm’s two highest-stakes cases at present: for Tridonic, the patent attorneys are battling with various competitors over white LEDs with the Mitscherlich lawyers; for regular client Huawei, they are defending several NPE suits in cooperation with lawyers from Preu Bohlig. Huawei, however, also hires another patent attorney firm for litigation – Braun-Dullaeus Pannen Emmerling. The strength of the relationship to the Chinese mobile communications giant is demonstrated by work for its mobile communications brand Honor, even after Huawei sold it.

The list of clients who entrust the Mitscherlich patent attorneys to file patents across a broad technical spectrum comprises international corporations, as well as numerous German Mittelstand companies. Only in pharma patents is the practice still not as visible as competitors.
