König Szynka Tilmann von Renesse – Germany 2015
Rankings
JUVE Comment
This recommended Düsseldorf firm was again one of Germany’s most active patent attorney firms when it came to litigation. König and von Renesse’s involvement in high-profile infringement proceedings and nullity/opposition suits with a pharmaceuticals background for Bayer subgroups, Eli Lilly and Amgen was a familiar picture. But they also saw more litigation for medical product manufacturers and involving consumer goods, as the series of proceedings for OrbusNeich (stents) and for ECC (espresso capsules) gained momentum. KSTVR still works exclusively with external lawyers. Thanks to the outstanding litigation expertise and pronounced sector know-how of its partners, the small firm is carving out an excellent position for the UPC, even without international offices.
Strengths
Litigation by patent attorneys, often in cases of a precedent nature, primarily for biotech and pharmaceuticals companies; mechanics patents.
