JUVE Comment
This small spinoff of an IP lawyer from Olswang quickly positioned itself well in patent litigation in the telecoms sector since launching in 2017. The foundation was laid by established connections to ZTE and Aptar, where the Paris office works closely with the Munich team. The firm took an international approach from the beginning, which lends it a visibility spanning beyond the French borders. One British competitor praised founding partner Jean-Frédéric Gaultier as a “very talented, diligent litigator with good language, explanations and client skills”. Besides mobile communications, the team has a broad technical range, but is less present in pharma cases. The advice to US originator Boston Scientific, however, is a first step here.
Strengths
Mobile communications litigation
European strategy
The Olswang spinoff has had an international setup since its launch in 2017. The concept is based on the strong positioning of the patents team around Jean-Frédéric Gaultier in France and Thomas Lynker in Munich, as well as growing ties to ZTE, TCL and Boston Scientific. In Madrid, the firm works closely with the IP firm Bylos.
