About Dr. Hans Weickmann
Hans is partner in the chemistry and life science department of Weickmann & Weickmann. Hans’ clients are active in the field of pharmaceuticals, consumer products (food and tobacco industry), polymers, paper, batteries, construction materials and medical devices. As patent attorney most of his time he advises on patent portfolio management including drafting of applications and is involved in patent/utility model litigation before the EPO and the German Courts. He has profound experience in preparing FTO, infringement and validity opinions.
Hans studied chemistry in Darmstadt and Freiburg. He obtained his PhD in polymer science in 2005. Before he joined Weickmann & Weickmann, Hans was hired by Bayer MaterialScience (now Covestro) as lab leader in the global polyurethane R&D department. Since 2010 he is German and European Patent and Trademark Attorney.
