After many years in the patent litigation department of one of the leading intgernational law firms, Christopher joined Kather Augenstein as a partner in its founding. The focus of Chrsitopher Weber’s practice is in the area of technical intellectual property rights (patent and utility models). His experience ranges from the conduct of individual national proceedings to the coordination of international disputes involving a wide varienty of intellectual property rights.
The cases he handles over almost the entire technical scope in the fields of software, electronics, pharmaceuticals, chemistry, mechanics and plastics processing, among others. He represents clients before the civil courts and participates in validity proceedings before the European Patent Office, the Federal Patent Court and the Federal Court of Justice. In addition, Christopher Weber also advices on competition law proceedings with a technical focus.
He is a member of the German Asssociation for Intellectual Property and Copyright Law (GRUR), and the Licensing Executives Society (LES) and publishes reguöarly in the fields of intellectual property and procedural law. Christopher is constantly recommended and named by numerous publications such as JUVE, The Legal 500, IAM Patent 1000, Best Lawyers and Managing IP for the last several years. The Legal 500 (2022) recently selected Christopher Weber in the category “Leading Individuals”. At JUVE 2021, he is singled out as one of the “leading advisors” among litigators in patent law. Managing IP named him as “Notable Practitioner” 2021.
